The accredited laboratory “Solid Industrial Waste and Sludge Control” performs the following tests and measurements in accordance with European EN standards, as required by European and national legislation, for the characterization, classification, and subsequent management of industrial waste and mining industry waste.
Accredited Tests and Measurements
- Waste characterization: Leaching according to ELOT EN 12457.02.
- Determination of pH according to ISO 10523 (measuring range: 2–12) in water, liquid waste, and aqueous leachates of solid waste and soil samples (according to EN 12457.02).
- Determination of Electrical Conductivity according to ELOT EN 27888.
- Determination of Total Organic Carbon (TOC) according to ELOT EN 1484.
- Calculation of Dry Matter by determining dry residue according to ELOT EN 14346 (measuring range: 1–99%).
The “Solid Industrial Waste and Sludge Control” laboratory operates under the Department of Technology, Mineral Raw Materials and Metallurgy (TEOPYM) of the Directorate of Mineral Resources and Mining (DOPME) of HSGME.
