Celebrating 23 years of operation in its current form, the LITHOS Laboratory of EAGME continues to provide its services to the decorative stone sector. Over the years, it has participated in various research projects (Competitive, ESPA, Transnational, etc.), trade exhibitions, workshops, conferences, committees, and other professional events.
The laboratory is equipped with modern, calibrated instruments for determining the quality characteristics and physical–mechanical properties of decorative stones, in accordance with current European and other international standards. Since 2002, it has been accredited by the Hellenic Accreditation System (E.SY.D.) under EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005, and since 2021 under EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
The LITHOS Laboratory operates under the scientific supervision of Dr. K. Laskaridis – Director of Mineral Resources and Mining, Dr. M. Patroni, Dr. A. Arapakou, and I. Kouseris.
