The project aims at the optimal utilization of HSGME’s existing fleet of service vehicles to ensure their efficient, economical, and safe operation, in full compliance with the regulatory framework governing the use and maintenance of state vehicles.
Purpose – Expected Results:
The purpose of the project is to guarantee the smooth, continuous, and safe operation of HSGME’s service vehicles, thereby ensuring the proper functioning of its services and the uninterrupted execution of its various research activities, which are typically carried out in the field. The expected results include:
- Safe use of vehicles (accident prevention).
- Resource savings through more rational management, maintenance, and operational monitoring.
- Uninterrupted and timely execution of HSGME’s research fieldwork without unforeseen interruptions or delays.
- Extended vehicle lifespan through diligent maintenance and operational supervision.
- Adherence to the planned schedule of field activities through the use of an electronic telematics system for tracking vehicle movements.
- Compliance with public sector vehicle regulations (procedures for registration, operation, driver authorization, insurance, and decommissioning), which HSGME, as a Legal Entity under Public Law, is required to follow.
- Promotion of electric mobility in Greece.
